The Kite Surf Resort, Kalpitiya is located right on the Kalpitiya peninsula, a still very natural and original part of Sri Lanka's North-West-Coast of Sri Lanka. Kalpitiya was basically off the map for the past 30 years and is now being recognized as one of the best places for Kitesurfing and Windsurfing in Sri Lanka!
One of the factors for this are the nearby production facilities of NORTH KITEBOARDING, FAITH KITEBOARDING, CORE KITEBOARDING and KITE-FACTORY.
The other factor is good wind conditions for kite boarding.
Especially in the months January – March, when the NE trade winds will provide the necessary power.
In May to August the wind shifts to the SW direction with higher shore break and high sea. More for advanced and professional kiters.
Kite Surf Resort, Kalpitiya offers a special 4 day kit surfing package (deluxe and standard), including accommodation, meals (half-board), professional kite surf instructor, 2 days kite surfing course ( 4 hours / day) and all necessary equipment.
